Organiser's Description
The Annapolis Ten Mile Run is a 10-mile foot race organized by the Annapolis Striders, Inc., a 1000 member, all volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Established in 1978 in Annapolis, Maryland, the club promotes physical fitness and mental well-being through distance running. The race is conducted according to the road racing guidelines of the Road Runners Club of America.
The race has been listed as one of the top ten 10-mile races in the country by Runners World Magazine [https://www.runnersworld.com/advanced/a20824782/top-ten-miler-races-in-the-us/]. It is a beautiful run through historic Annapolis and over the Severn River. We celebrated our 50th annual running on August 24, 2025. I was really worried when the race entries increased to 5K Participants for the 50th anniversary. It went much smoother than anticipated! Great instructions for packet pick up the day before. Expo was a lot of fun as a first timer at a large run event. I felt day of instructions were clear. We arrived at 5AM to park as parking was anticipated to be hectic. (It was) We had plenty of time to use the restrooms before the race and get ready. Starting was ok - there were late participants trying to jump the gate at the starting line. Course was marked clearly and water stations were great as well! I felt like I trained enough to handle the hills. Weather was on our side and not humid at all. Great Experience as a first timer at the A-10 and first large run.
