Organiser's Description
This inaugural Beach Roses Walk is a powerful call to action in the fight against breast cancer. This event brings together people of all ages to honor breast cancer survivors and those we've lost to the disease. Participants will raise vital funds for groundbreaking research aimed at ending breast cancer, as well as for initiatives that support and enhance the lives of survivors. Set against the backdrop of Hammonasset's blooming beach roses, the walk symbolizes strength, perseverance, and hope.

4K Walk

The 4k Walk: This is a 4k loop. This is not a timed race and you are welcome to walk or run at your own pace.The path will be marked and marshals will be on site to guide you. Location: Hammonasset Beach State Park- Madison, CT./West Beach Parking: It's free to all vehicles registered in the state of Connecticut, all other vehicles will be subject to a park entrance fee upon arrival. Check-in: Begins at the event pavilion at 8:00am, event marshals will be on site to direct you to the appropriate free parking area and registration pavilion. Children: All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. No fee for children under 16, but they must be registered to participate in the walk, stroll or Kids' Fun Run if they are participating (waivers do apply). T-Shirts: T-Shirts will not be available for order after May 7, 2025. As the registration fee is waived for children under 16, there are no T-Shirts included for that age group. A limited number of T-shirts will be available for sale at the event. Dogs: Well behaved dogs are allowed if on a leash and park rules are followed. -

The 1k Stroll: This is a small walking loop, for those who prefer to walk a shorter distance. The path will be marked and marshals will be on site to guide you. Location: Hammonasset Beach State Park- Madison, CT./West Beach Parking: It's free to all vehicles registered in the state of Connecticut, all other vehicles will be subject to a park entrance fee upon arrival.
