Join us for the 6th Annual Miles for Mentorship on Sunday, October 4, 2026, in beautiful Lansing, Ingham! This exciting outdoor event features a 5K walk/run at Hawk Island, starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter. Lace up your running shoes and enjoy a fantastic day while supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region's mission to empower local youth through one-to-one mentoring relationships.
In addition to the 5K, we are thrilled to invite children 12 and under to participate in our Spooky Sprint Kids Run! Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume for this fun-filled race, where every young participant will receive a pumpkin to paint and a finisher medal at the finish line. The Spooky Sprint is completely free of charge, making it a perfect opportunity for family involvement. Get ready for an uplifting day of community spirit, fitness, and fun on October 4th!

Organiser's Description
We are excited to host our 6TH ANNUAL MILES FOR MENTORSHIP event to support BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS MICHIGAN CAPITAL REGIONS mission to ignite the promise and power of youth! Miles for Mentorship is an outdoor, walk or run 5K. This year the event will be held at Hawk Island starting and ending at the Red Tail Shelter. Proceeds to this event help support the agencys mission to create 1-to-1 mentoring relationships so that all youth achieve their full potential!
