Get ready for an exhilarating day of cycling at the 2nd Annual Bike City Century Ride, taking place on Sunday, February 16, 2025, in beautiful Inverness, Florida! This exciting event kicks off bright and early, with registration and packet pick-up starting at 7:00 AM at the Inverness Train Depot. Riders of all skill levels can choose from a variety of distances, including a scenic 14-mile loop, a 28-mile ride to Nobleton, a popular 48-mile option, or challenge yourself with the 100-mile route!

The ride winds along the stunning Withlacoochee State Trail, renowned as Florida's longest paved trail and celebrated in National Geographic's Traveler Magazine. Participants can enjoy a delightful continental breakfast before hitting the trail, with SAG stops providing food, hydration, and support along the way. Families are welcome, with a special Kids Bicycle Rodeo for the little ones! Plus, all proceeds benefit the Rotary Club of Downtown Inverness, making this a fun and meaningful event. DAY OF RIDE REGISTRATION, CHECK-IN, AND PACKET PICK-UP: 7:00 AM 9:00 AM AT THE INVERNESS TRAIN DEPOT, 300 N APOPKA AVE, INVERNESS, FL.

THE WITHLACOOCHEE STATE TRAIL IS THE LONGEST PAVED TRAIL IN FLORIDA AND LISTED IN NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC'S TRAVELER MAGAZINE AS ONE OF THE TOP 20 TRAILS IN THE UNITED STATES. THE WORLD WILDLIFE FUND SAYS OUR TRAIL IS "ONE OF THE COOLEST PLACES YOU'VE EVER SEEN".

THE RIDE BEGINS AT THE TRAIN STATION RESTAURANT/AMUSEMENT FACILITY WITH ADDITIONAL SAG STOPS AT AROUND THE RIDGE MANOR, ISTACHATTA, AND CITRUS SPRINGS AREAS. THIS PAVED WITHLACOOCHEE STATE TRAIL WINDS THROUGH PASCO, HERNANDO AND CITRUS COUNTIES IN WEST CENTRAL FLORIDA. THE TRAIL HEAD IS 2/10 MILE NORTH OF THE OLD HISTORIC COURTHOUSE IN DOWNTOWN INVERNESS. PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE ROTARY CLUB OF DOWNTOWN INVERNESS.

HEADING SOUTH FROM THE TRAILHEAD, TAKE OUR SHORTEST LOOP AND ENJOY A SCENIC RIDE TO HISTORIC FLORAL CITY.

28 MILES:
ENJOY A FULLY SUPPORTED SAG STOP AT THE SMALL TOWN OF NOBLETON, INCLUDING A PARK, MUSIC, AND RESTROOMS!

48 MILES:
THIS IS OUR MOST POPULAR DISTANCE AND THE SAG STOP IS LOCATED AT RIDGE MANOR TRAILHEAD (24 MILES SOUTH) WITH LARGE FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPPORT.

100 KILOMETERS (62.13 MILES)
FOR THOSE WANTING TO DO A METRIC CENTURY.

100 MILES
FOR THE MORE SERIOUS RIDER. RIDE THE TRAIL FROM END TO END AND COMPLETE THIS 50 MILE STRETCH OUT AND BACK WITH LIMITED ROAD CROSSINGS AND PLENTY OF WIDE OPEN SPACE TO SPIN YOUR WHEELS.

    14 Miles: Heading South from the Trailhead, take our shortest loop and enjoy a scenic ride to Historic Floral City. 28 Miles: Enjoy a fully supported SAG stop at the small town of Nobleton, including a park and restrooms! 48 Miles: This is our most popular distance and the SAG stop is located at Ridge Manor Trailhead (24 miles South) with large food and beverage support. 100 kilometers (62.13 miles): For those wanting to do a Metric Century. 100 Miles: For the more serious rider. Ride the trail from end to end and complete this 50 mile stretch out and back with limited road crossings and plenty of wide open space to spin your wheels. Century Challenge: Riders who complete the 100 Mile and 100K route will receive a commemorative Century Finisher item to display proudly.
