Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the BIRR Hilo Bay 5k and 10k, taking place on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, in the beautiful Hilo, Hawaii! The race will kick off at 7:30 AM at Reeds Bay on Banyan Drive, where runners and walkers of all levels will embark on a scenic route along the stunning coastline. Participants in the 5k will enjoy a picturesque out-and-back course that takes them through Lili'uokalani Park and Bayfront Park, while the 10k runners will continue their adventure along Kalanianaole Street before heading back to the finish line.
All finishers will receive a commemorative t-shirt and medal, with awards for top overall and age group finishers to celebrate your achievements! Enjoy refreshments and aid stations along the course to keep your energy up. JOIN US ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 6TH, 2025. RACE WILL START AT 7:30 AM AT REEDS BAY ON BANYAN DRIVE IN HILO AND FINISH BACK AT THE SAME PLACE.
ALL RUNNERS/WALKERS WILL HEAD NORTH ON BANYAN DRIVE, TURN TOWARDS COCONUT ISLAND AND RUN THE OCEANSIDE OF LILI'UOKALANI PARK, THROUGH BAYFRONT PARK TOWARDS THE "YELLOW GATE", TURN AROUND AND COME BACK THE SAME WAY. THOSE RUNNING THE 5K WILL END WHERE WE STARTED, THOSE RUNNING THE 10K WILL CONTINUE ONTO KALANIANAOLE STREET TO THE TURN AROUND SIGN AND HEAD BACK THE FINISH LINE.
