The festivities will kick off at 9:00 AM with a spirited 5K race through the beautiful park, followed by the inspiring Survivors Parade at 10:30 AM. At 11:00 AM, participants can join the 1-mile walk to further honor those impacted by cancer.
Throughout the day, attendees can enjoy a variety of activities including a cruise-in featuring cool cars, delicious food from local food trucks, and rejuvenating self-care treatments. Kids will have a blast with inflatables and face painting, ensuring a fun-filled day for the whole family. Don’t forget to register by April 1 to secure your event shirt and medal, with awards for top finishers in multiple age categories. CHEMO BUDDIES HOPEFEST PRESENTED BY ASCENSION ST. VINCENT HOSPITAL IS BACK FOR THE 7TH YEAR!
Hopefest is a community event held each year to bring together everyone affected by cancer - survivors, patients, caregivers, family members, friends, and co-workers. We come together as a community to support, celebrate, and encourage everyone affected bu cancer.
Chemo Buddies' annual Hopefest will be held on April 26, 2025 at Friedman Park in Newburgh.
The day will kick off with the 5K through the park at 9:00AM. Our signature event - the SURVIVORS PARADE will begin 10:30AM. Immediately following the parade will be the start of the 1-MILE WALK at 11:00AM
Throughout the day enjoy checking out some cool cars at the cruise-in, eat something from one of the delicious food trucks, enjoy some relaxing treatments in the self-care tent, and let the kids enjoy the inflatables and face painting. Its sure to be a great event!
Please note: The event is rain or shine. There are no refunds. Shirts, medals, and other swag are available only as supplies last. Please register before April 1 to ensure you will receive these items! THOSE WHO REGISTER AFTER APRIL 1 CAN CHECK AT THE REGISTRATION TABLE ON EVENT DAY FOR AVAILABILITY!

All registrations for the 5K, 1-mile walk, and Survivors Parade will receive a short-sleeved cotton t-shirt!
Participation medals will be given to the first 200 5K finishers.
All registrations on or before April 1, 2024, will be guaranteed a T-shirt. Those who register after April 1 can check at registration the day of the event for t-shirt availability.

Packet pickup will begin on Tuesday, April 22 continue until Thursday, April 24h during office hours 9AM-3PM. NO PICK UP ON FRIDAY APRIL 26TH! See below for race day pick-up.

If you did not pick up your race packet in advance, please check in at the registration tables before the start times. The registration table will be located near the race start area. 5K check-in will begin at 8:15AM and end at 8:50AM. 1-mile walkers and Survivors Parade must check-in/register by 10:00am
