THE SOCIAL WORK STUDENT ASSOCIATION AT CALIFORNIA STATE UNIVERSITY, FRESNO IS HOSTING A CHILD ABUSE/FOSTER CARE AWARENESS 5K RUN/WALK, WHICH WILL NOT ONLY RAISE AWARENESS ABOUT CHILD ABUSE AND FOSTER CARE BUT ALSO INCORPORATE A WELLNESS COMPONENT FOR FAMILIES. THIS DUAL-PURPOSE EVENT AIMS TO BOTH ADVOCATE FOR CHILD SAFETY AND FOSTER CARE RAISING AWARENESS OF THE NEED TO SUPPORT THE WELL-BEING OF FAMILIES, CAREGIVERS AND FOSTER YOUTH. BY PROMOTING SELF-CARE AND PROVIDING RESOURCES FOR MENTAL AND PHYSICAL WELL-BEING, THIS EVENT SEEKS TO INCREASE FAMILY AND INDIVIDUAL WELL-BEING.
