Organiser's Description
On Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, the Gridz of East Northport will once again become the home of the I DID THE GRID Run/Walk. Beginning at Pulaski Elementary School, runners and walkers will round the courses turns with the names of four service members on their bibs. You may notice a new logo, and a new course distance, but the heart of this event remains unchanged: Honor the Fallen. Support the Troops. Registration is now open, and we invite runners, walkers, families, and supporters to join us for this meaningful community tradition.
Held in memory of Marine Christopher G. Scherer, this event brings our community together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while supporting veterans, service members, and military families. Each step taken on race day helps carry forward Christophers legacy of service, courage, and commitment to others.
Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation helps ensure that the spirit of this event continueshonoring the fallen and supporting those who serve our nation today. We hope you will join us as we once again come together as a community to remember, reflect, and make a difference.
