Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and fun at the 48th Annual Curwood Festival Run, taking place on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the charming city of Owosso, Shiawassee. This popular event features a variety of race distances to suit all levels of runners and walkers, including a thrilling Half Marathon, a competitive 10K Run, a spirited 5K Run, and a family-friendly 5K Walk. For the little ones, there’s also a Fun Run to ensure everyone can join in on the festivities!
The race kicks off bright and early, with the Half Marathon and 10K starting at 8:00 AM, followed by the 5K Run and Walk at 8:30 AM, and the Fun Run at 9:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to register early, with pre-registration available until May 31st for just $45, ensuring you secure your race shirt. Late registration is available until June 6th for $50, but please note that shirts are not guaranteed after the early registration period. Join us at the new race start location on Jerome Avenue, and enjoy multiple water stops along the route, chip timing by the Michigan Running Foundation

PACKET PICK UP: Early packet pickup is on Friday, June 6th from 4pm to 7pm at the Shiawassee Family YMCA, 515 West Main Street, Owosso. Race day pickup begins at 7am at the race site. Please note the location of the packet pickup that you choose.

AWARDS: For 1st, 2nd, 3rd in each gender/age category. We will also have a Top Male Overall and Top Female Overall for each race.
NO PETS OR STROLLERS, PLEASE.
The race will be chip timed by the MICHIGAN RUNNING FOUNDATION [https://www.facebook.com/michiganrunningfoundation/]. Results will be posted live during the race on this site.

COURSE: Due to construction, the event will now start and end just east of Huntington Bank on Jerome Ave, behind the large parking lot. The race follows the river trail to Corunna, through side streets and back along the trail to the beginning. The course is fast and mostly flat, consisting of 50% blacktop street and 50% hard-packed dirt. -

The course follows the river trail into McCurdy Park then back along the trail to the beginning. The course is fast and flat, consisting of approximately 25% blacktop street and 75% hard-packed dirt. -

COURSE: Participants will start just east of the N. Saginaw St./Jerome Ave. intersection behind NCG Cinema. They will run east on Jerome Ave, into Kiwanis Park, making a loop back to Jerome Ave to return to the starting line.
