Join us for the 5th Annual Dryden Ugly Sweater 5K on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, in Dryden, Tompkins. This fun run/walk event encourages participants to dress up in their ugliest sweaters for a chilly, festive race. All participants have the option to receive a custom Ugly Sweater 5K long sleeve shirt, winter headband, and finisher medal. The race will start at the Historical Dryden Hotel and take place mostly on the new Dryden Rail Trail. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Dryden Rail Trail Revenue Fund, helping to complete and improve the trail. Pre-race packet pickup will be available on Friday, November 29, and race day pickup will start at 10:00 AM at the Dryden Hotel. After the race, enjoy post-race festivities at the hotel with warm treats and beer specials. Don't miss out on this exciting event for a good cause!
Organiser's Description
Come join us for the 5th Annual Dryden Ugly Sweater 5K. This event combines "fun" and "run". Participants are not required but definitely encouraged to dress in costume (ugly sweaters) for this chilly run/walk. All race participants will have the option of receiving a custom Ugly Sweater 5K long sleeve shirt, winter headband and finisher medal. New for 2024, we have added a No Shirt/Headband option. All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal. The event will start at the Historical Dryden Hotel (Built in 1844) with most of the run/walk on the new Dryden Rail Trail. This event will benefit the Dryden Rail Trail Revenue Fund as they continue to need funding to complete and improve this beautiful Trail. All donations and a portion of the race proceeds will help this cause.
PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUP WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 29 AT THE DRYDEN HOTEL (42 W. MAIN ST.) FROM 4:00PM-6:00PM. FOR THOSE OF UNABLE TO ATTEND ON FRIDAY WE WILL HAVE RACE DAY PPU STARTING AT 10:00AM ALSO AT THE DRYDEN HOTEL.
Post race fun at the Dryden Hotel immediately following your run. They will be serving up something warm and special that is always awesome and tasty. Beer specials as well. All of this free for event participants.
