Organiser's Description
This race proceeds the Edison Festival of Light Grand Parade. Participants run along the streets of downtown Fort Myers that is lined with 200,000 (est.) cheering spectators gathered for the Grand Parade. The starting line will be South of Edwards Drive on Jackson Street.
Proceeds go to the Edison Festival of Light, a non-profit 501(c) 3 tax-exempt organization that works with many other local non-profit and profit organizations to promote the arts, culture and history of Fort Myers and Southwest Florida. Through scheduled and sanctioned events, the Festival helps to promote and support local groups.
