Races

  • 5K Competitive Run

    Incl. T-Shirt

    Sat 18th April 2026 (6:10AM CDT)

    $39.00

    OPENS 01 FEB 26
The 5K Competitive Run is designed for runners looking to challenge themselves while enjoying one of Enniss most scenic routes. This professionally timed race follows a fast, well-marked course with a mix of paved paths and natural surroundings. The course is primarily on concrete, with one brief off-concrete section through the Kachina Prairie Nature Preserve, which is the only grassy portion of the 5K. This adds a unique natural element to the race while maintaining its competitive feel. Awards and official results will be provided for competitive divisions. Whether youre chasing a PR or simply love a well-run race, this 5K delivers both speed and scenery.
  • 10K Competitive Run

    Incl. T-Shirt

    Sat 18th April 2026 (6:00AM CDT)

    $44.00

    OPENS 01 FEB 26
The 10K Competitive Run offers an extended, immersive course that highlights some of the most beautiful landscapes Ennis has to offer. The first half of the race follows the same route as the 5K, allowing runners to establish their pace before branching off onto a stunning off-concrete section. From there, runners traverse along the gorgeous shores of Lake Clark, continue toward the Ennis Municipal Airport, loop back along the lake dam, and return to the finish line. This course features a mix of paved and natural terrain, combining open views, water scenery, and peaceful trails. The 10K is fully timed and ideal for runners seeking a longer challenge with standout scenery.
  • 5K (Kid Run) Under 13 Years Old

    Incl. T-Shirt

    Sat 18th April 2026 (6:10AM CDT)

    $30.00

    OPENS 01 FEB 26
The Kids 5K (Under 13) gives young runners the opportunity to experience the excitement of race day on the same official 5K course as adult participants. Kids may run or walk at their own pace and will have up to 2 hours to complete the course. Parents and guardians should note that the route includes one short grassy section through the Kachina Prairie Nature Preserve, which is the only off-concrete portion of the 5K. Strollers, carts, and wagons may have difficulty on this grassy section, so parents should plan accordingly. A great way for young runners to build confidence, earn a finisher medal, and be part of the Bluebonnet Run tradition.
  • 5K Fun Run / Walk

    Incl. T-Shirt

    Sat 18th April 2026 (6:00AM CDT)

    $33.00

    OPENS 25 JAN 26
The 5K Fun Run / Walk follows the exact same scenic course as the 5K Competitive Run, just without the pressure of racing the clock. Whether youre walking, jogging, pushing a stroller, or enjoying the views at your own pace, this event is all about fun, movement, and soaking in the Bluebonnet Run experience. Participants will have up to 2 hours to complete the 5K. Strollers, carts, and wagons are allowed, but participants should be aware that there is a short off-concrete section of the course. This portion winds through the beautiful Kachina Prairie Nature Preserve and is the only on-grass section of the 5K. While manageable for most participants, strollers, carts, and wagons may have difficulty on this grassy terrain, especially depending on ground conditions. Perfect for families, casual runners, and anyone who wants to be part of race day without racing.
