Get ready for a day of fun and fitness at the Fireball Classic Memorial Race on Friday, July 4, 2025, in beautiful Ada, Pontotoc! This exciting event features a variety of races to suit all ages and abilities, including a 5K and 10K, as well as a lively Family Fun Run/Walk around the scenic Wintersmith Park. The Fun Run kicks off at 7:30 a.m., where costumes are not just welcomed but encouraged! Participants can showcase their creativity for a chance to win awards for Best Dog Costume and Best Human Costume, with special dog stations along the route for furry friends.
The day begins with the opening ceremonies at 6:45 a.m., followed by the 10K race at 7:00 a.m. and the 5K at 7:15 a.m. Kids can join in on the excitement with a free race at 7:20 a.m. right in front of Wintersmith Lodge. Registration is easy and affordable, with the Fun Run costing just $25, while the 10K and 5K are priced at $45 and $40, respectively. All participants will receive a Fireball Classic t-shirt! The Fireball Classic will focus on fun this year! In addition to the 5K and 10K runs, Ada Sunrise Rotary Club and Scissortail Passport Club are sponsoring a Family Fun Run/Walk around Wintersmith Park. It will begin at 7:30 a.m. Costumes are encouraged. There will be awards for Best Dog Costume and Best Human Costume. The Fun Run is sponsored by Ada Veterinary Clinic. There will be special dog stations along the route. Dogs on leashes and strollers are permitted in the Fun Run but not on the 5K and 10K race course.
