OPENS 01 APR5K = 3.1 miles Wave Start - As more people come out to participate in this wonderful event, we will assign corral colors to bibs, and each corral will be released every 30 seconds based on bib color. - Staff will have a rope going across near the start line. - Each corral color and then walk the next corral color runners to the start line, wait 30 seconds, and let them start the race. - Chip Start means your time does not start until you physically cross the start line. - This will allow for a smooth start for all participants, not having to inch out slowly foot by foot due to so many participants all starting at the same time. Every second matters for some people. - When signing up, indicate your average pace or 5k time, and we will assign you a bib color according to that time. - If you are a walker, just list yourself as a walker. Totally fine, BECAUSE THIS IS HOW WE ALL STARTED AT SOME POINT. *** Good for you, at least you are coming out, and that is a good start.
