Join us for the vibrant Global Running Day 5K on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at the beautiful Swan Creek Preserve Metropark in Toledo, Lucas! This exciting event, hosted by the Toledo Roadrunners Club in collaboration with Metroparks Toledo, invites runners and families of all ages to celebrate the joy of running together. The 5K race kicks off at 6:30 PM on an all-purpose paved trail, perfect for participants of all abilities.
For just $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members, you can take part in this fun-filled evening. Families are encouraged to join, with children 12 and under participating for free when accompanied by a guardian. While the Kids 1K race has been discontinued, there's still plenty of excitement with the option to complete a shorter distance of 1.7 miles! Don’t forget to check in at the Mary Jane Gill shelter starting at 5:30 PM, where water, snacks, and giveaways await you at the finish line. Let’s come together to celebrate Global Running Day in Toledo—it's a perfect way to get active and have fun with the community!

Celebrate Global Running Day with a 5K brought to you by the Toledo Roadrunners Club in partnership with Metroparks Toledo!
ALL kids 12 and under are free and should stay with guardians during the 5K.
5K starts at 6:30pm. The kids 1K race has been discontinued due to lack of interest. Children and families are still welcome. Also consider joining us at Kids Kilometers on June 7. Registration link - https://runsignup.com/Race/OH/Sylvania/KidsKilometers2021
The 5K course at Swan Creek Preserve Metropark was funded and mapped by the Toledo Roadrunners Club! Let's enjoy it together! It is an all purpose paved trail, great for all ages and abilities. The course consists of an upper loop (approximately 1.7 miles) with the balance being an out and back. If you don't want to run or walk the full 5K, come out and complete 1.7 miles!
The event is $5.00 for Toledo Roadrunners Club members and $10.00 for non-members. $13.00 unisex cotton blend shirt add-on (see shirt below). Online registration only. Online registration will be open until the start of the event. During registration, you'll be prompted to fill in "I Run ..." Let us know why you run! Have fun with it! It is optional.
Check-in at the Mary Jane Gill shelter. Check in starts at 5:30pm. The shelter is located south of the playground. Use the parking lot off Airport Highway.
There will be a clock set up. There are no awards.
Water and snacks will be available at the conclusion of event. There will also be some giveaways!
Do to the low cost and the t-shirt being an add on, race insurance is not offered for this event.
Mercy Health Toledo will provide onsite medical support.
