HKSB offers a 5-week summer camp to children ages 4-15 who are blind or have low vision. We provide free tuition and door to door transportation. Camp Helen Keller provides opportunities for socialization and peer mentoring through an array of activities including accessible sports, science, tech class, crafts, games, music and dance, and community outings and more.

We bring an exciting, action packed program at Camp Helen Keller. We bolster confidence and unleash the talents and aspirations of the campers. CHK fosters an inclusive environment for children who are blind or have vision loss. We find solutions to meet everyones unique accessibility needs that are not one-size-fits-all.

The camp counselors are specially trained to adapt recreation and social activities to ensure each childs experience is accessible. Camp memories are created along with lifetime friendships. The greatest part of it all is that campers across all ages discover their strengths and abilities! The campers' self-efficacy grows, "I Can Do It" attitudes are strengthened, and engagement in sports and other recreation activities bolsters confidence and self-esteem.

With your support and sponsorship, HKS will continue to offer this free camp to 50 amazing campers.

Helen Keller Services (HKS), a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, offers programs and services through two divisions: Helen Keller National Center for DeafBlind Youths and Adults (HKNC) and Helen Keller Services for the Blind (HKSB). With your support and sponsorship, HKS will continue to offer a rich variety of innovative programs and services for people who are blind, have low vision or DeafBlind as they seek to attain their own definition of success and independence.
