Starting bright and early at 7:00 AM, this exciting event invites runners and walkers of all levels to choose from three exhilarating distances: a 5K, 10K, or a half marathon. The scenic course begins at the oceanfront Kahakai Park, where participants will meander through the dappled sunlight under a lush canopy of old-growth mango and lauhala trees along the picturesque Old Govt Beach Road.
For those tackling the half marathon, the route will take you up Highway 132 for a stunning out-and-back experience. With self-serve aid stations available and a friendly atmosphere, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of Hawaii while staying active. Plus, for members of the Big Island Road Runners, registration is free, while a $10 donation is requested from non-members. Don’t miss out on this fantastic day of fitness and fun in paradise!

WE WILL MARK OUT 3 DISTANCES- 5K, 10K AND 1/2 MARATHON. THIS EVENT STARTS AT THE OCEAN FRONT KAHAKAI PARK IN PAHOA. YOU WILL RUN/WALK THROUGH THE DAPPLED SUNLIGHT UNDER THE CANOPY OF OLD GROWTH MANGO AND LAUHALA TREES ALONG SCENIC OLD GOVT BEACH RD! THOSE RUNNING THE 1/2 MARATHON WILL RUN TO HWY 132 THEN UP THE HWY ABOUT 1 MILE BEFORE TURNING AROUND AND COMING BACK THE SAME WAY.
MEET AT KAHAKAI PARK IN PAHOA RUN STARTS AT 7:00 AM SHARP. EVENT ENDS AT 10:30 AM.
DIRECTIONS: FROM HWY 130 TAKE KAHAKAI BLVD WHICH IS JUST PAST THE PAHOA ROUNDABOUT. FOLLOW TO THE VERY END WHERE YOU WILL RUN INTO THE PARK.
SELF-SERVE AID STATIONS WILL BE PROVIDED BUT BRING YOUR OWN HYDRATION IN CASE IT IS HOT
