Signing up for the JayDoc Memorial 5K directly benefits the JayDoc Free Clinic, located at 340 Southwest Blvd and provides medical and dental care for the uninsured and underinsured population of Kansas City. The clinic operates on the help of both student and physician/dentist volunteers and is funded entirely through donations and grants. This 5K is one of the many efforts to raise funds so that the clinic can afford lab testing, medications, and supplies. With your sign-up, money will be going directly to fund this cause to provide necessary medical care for those who would otherwise not receive it!

The JayDoc Memorial 5K is also in memory of our beloved colleague and friend Caroline Trupp. Caroline was a rising second-year medical student who was passionate about giving to the underserved and the JayDoc Free Clinic. She was also an enthusiastic runner and thus, it is with a heavy heart and great sense of purpose the we have named the JayDoc Memorial 5K in her honor.

RACE INFORMATION: _Start Time_: There will be a 9:00AM start.

_Packet Pick-up: _Packet pick up will begin at 8:00AM AT the parking lot near The Theatre in the Park. If you sign up before 08/30, we will do our best to ensure you get a JayDoc Memorial 5K T-shirt. If you sign up after this period, we will have extras available for runners before the race on a first-come-first serve basis. We plan to purchase enough so that all who race will have a T-shirt.

_Results and Awards_: We will use hand timing and the race results will be compiled and sent out by email.
