Join us for the annual K5K: A Run for Kendra event on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This run/walk is held in honor of Kendra R. Atherton and raises funds for a scholarship in her name, benefiting college students who have lost a parent to cancer. To date, the K5K has awarded over $140,000 in scholarships. Whether you participate in-person on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk or virtually from anywhere in the country, you can join the cause. The event will conclude with an after party at The Shack on Atlantic Ave. Registration prices vary by age, starting at $20 for children under 12. Packet Pick-Up will be held the day before the race at Running Etc. This family-friendly event welcomes everyone, including pets dressed in pink. Atherton and to raise money for a scholarship fund in her name to benefit college students who have lost a parent to cancer, and who display the qualities possessed by Kendra. AS OF TODAY, THE K5K: A RUN FOR KENDRA HAS AWARDED OVER $140,000 IN SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS WHO HAVE LOST A PARENT TO CANCER.
