The Light up the Sky 5K Run/Walk will be returning this year for its 8th year! Join the fun on Sunday, May 26th. All net proceeds support the annual 4th of July fireworks held at the Presque Isle State Harbor. This year the fireworks will be held on Saturday, July 6th.
There is a fun run for the kids at 9:00 a.m. and the 5K Run/Walk starts at 9:30 a.m. Both events start at the New Presque Isle Lighthouse Park [https://www.michigan.org/property/new-presque-isle-lighthouse-park-and-museum]. Registration fees for the 5k is $20 through April 30th and $25 thereafter. Registration fees for the kid fun run is $10. The first 100 finishers in the 5k will receive a medal and the first 50 finishers in the kid fun run will receive a medal. A limited supply of special design t-shirts will be available at a cost of $10 and you must register and purchase by April 30th to guarantee receiving a shirt. When they are gone they are gone.
