Join us for the LVRR August Summer Series 5K on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in the beautiful Lehigh Parkway of Allentown, Lehigh! This event is part of a free 5K race series that takes place on the first Wednesday of every month from May through September, making it the perfect opportunity to enjoy a summer evening of friendly competition and community spirit. The course is accurately measured and features a mostly flat cinder trail, ideal for runners of all levels.
Check-in begins at 5:30 PM, with the race kicking off at 6:30 PM. Don't worry if you haven't registered yet—no membership is required to participate! Just be sure to arrive early to get ready for the fun. Racers aged 10 and up are welcome, and there’s a generous 60-minute time limit to complete the course. After the race, stick around for a delightful potluck dinner, featuring delicious grilled hotdogs and the chance to share your favorite dish with fellow runners. Come run, eat, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere this summer!

This is a free 5k race series that includes 5 races held on the first Wednesday of each month from May through September.
You do not need to be an LVRR club member to participate in this series. Sign up online and come out to Lehigh Parkway for this relaxed, no-frills race.
The course is accurately measured, mostly flat, cinder trail in the Parkway.
RACE DAY CHECK-IN: Begins at 5:30 PM - All runners must check in prior to the race. Look for our volunteers in bright orange vests.
AGE: Racers must be 10 years of age.
TIME LIMIT: 60 minutes (19:35 minute/mile)
START TIME: Begins at 6:30 PM with the exception of September which begins at 6:00 PM
JOIN US AFTER THE RACE FOR A POTLUCK DINNER!
Well be cooking up some hotdogs on the grill and kindly invite you to contribute to the potluck. Weve had some great contributions in the past and this is always such a nice summer evening in the park.
