Join us for the enchanting MCRRC Run Under the Lights on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Gaithersburg, Montgomery! This exciting 5K Run/Walk takes place amidst the breathtaking Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park, where over 380 illuminated vignettes and 65 animated displays create a magical atmosphere. Runners and walkers will enjoy a scenic route through the park, with roads closed to traffic for a safe and enjoyable experience.
Race registration includes entry to the Winter Lights Festival, and on-site parking is completely free! This popular event is expected to sell out quickly, so don't miss your chance to participate. Organiser's Description
The City of Gaithersburg, in partnership with the Montgomery County Road Runners Club, invites all runners and walkers to participate in a 5K Run/Walk in the magical setting of Gaithersburgs Winter Lights Festival at Seneca Creek State Park. Winter Lights features more than 380 illuminated vignettes and 65 animated displays. Runners and walkers will utilize the roads through the Park during the race. Roads will be closed to traffic except for Emergency Vehicles and vehicles required for race management. RACE REGISTRATION INCLUDES ENTRY TO THE PARK AND PARKING IS ON-SITE AND FREE OF CHARGE.
This is a sellout race and a waitlist will be in effect. PLEASE REFER TO THE "WAITLIST, TRANSFERS & REFUNDS" TAB FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATOIN AND DEADLINES. THE DEADLINE WILL BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
