Miles for Makenna 5K

On Sunday, January 8th, one week shy of her 24th birthday, Makenna suffered a severe brain bleed . This was caused by an AVM which is a malformation from birth of veins and arteries in her brain. Makenna has undergone surgery and is was on life support. But, let me tell you about my Jesus— she went from being on life support, doctors telling the family to say goodbye to making miraculous progress. Let me tell you about my Jesus— he performed miracles and has grown so many in their faith through wat hung, praying and following this journey. He’s a GREAT God we serve, and when you visit with Makenna you experience the goodness of God and it totally blows your mind! What an amazing testimony she will have, I remember the night the incident occurring receiving a text to pray- and I fell to my knees bedside and I saw Makenna and another girl speaking in front of a crowd of thousands sharing about the goodness of God. Somehow after that vision I knew no matter what, Makenna would pull through. God laid it in my heart to do something that I could to help the family that I love dearly. Currently, Makenna is in a rehabilitation facility- Shepherd’s through the week doing full time therapy and gets to travel home on weekends. Thankfully they only have two more weeks of traveling to Atlanta. Makenna is amazing to see in daily updates by her father , Chad Cook- today he posted about her an it’s such a blessing, Makenna is even taking steps and standing on her own. Her family has never once waivers in their faith and they have been there by her side the entire time. Please come out and show your support and bless this precious family!
