# Amys Ascent ### Carry a Pumpkin. Climb for Amy. Be Part of the Journey. As part of **HalloWeird 4 at Obstacle Wonderland**, were doing something a little different this year. Were climbing for one of our own. Amy Haskell is a para athlete who has been living with Multiple Sclerosis since being diagnosed in 2008. Her journey has taken her from DEKA events to Spartan racing, a first-place finish at the 2025 Spartan Para World Championship, and completing her first Spartan Ultra in 2026. Now Amy is preparing for an even bigger challenge: Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in 2027 with Dealers of Hope. Mount Kilimanjaro rises **19,341 feet above sea level**, but every big climb begins with a first step. So at HalloWeird, were taking a few of those steps with Amy. ## jack-o-lantern How Amys Ascent Works For a **$5 donation**, grab a pumpkin and join us for a special ascent at Obstacle Wonderland. Why pumpkins? The Multiple Sclerosis awareness ribbon is orangeand since this is HalloWeird, carrying pumpkins seemed like the perfect Obstacle Wonderland way to show our support. Participants will carry their pumpkin as we make the ascent together in honor of Amy and her journey toward Kilimanjaro. This is not about racing. It isn't about being the fastest. It's about carrying something together for someone who is taking on something extraordinary. ## sports medal Your Amys Ascent Medal Everyone who registers for Amys Ascent will receive a special **Amys Ascent commemorative medal**, created by Wonderland Maker Studio specifically for this fundraiser. Your **$5 registration/donation includes:** * Participation in the Amys Ascent pumpkin carry * Pumpkin for the ascent * Special Amys Ascent commemorative medal * The opportunity to directly help Amy on her journey toward Kilimanjaro Most importantly, you'll know that your small contribution became part of something much bigger. ## orange heart Why We're Doing This Amy represents so much of what the obstacle-course community is supposed to be about: adapting, pushing forward, accepting help when necessary, helping others when possible, and refusing to let a challenge define what you are capable of doing. Obstacle Wonderland has already donated **$500 toward Amys Kilimanjaro journey**, and Amys Ascent gives our entire HalloWeird community an opportunity to get behind her as well. Five dollars may seem small. One pumpkin may seem silly. One climb around Obstacle Wonderland certainly isn't Kilimanjaro. But put enough people together, carrying something for the same reason, and those small efforts add up. ### One pumpkin. ### One climb. ### One community behind Amy. **Grab a pumpkin and climb with us.** **Lets help Amy reach the summit.** jack-o-lantern **Amys Ascent** round pushpin **Obstacle Wonderland Wallkill, NY** calendar **October 11, 2026 during HalloWeird 4: Relish the Challenge** dollar banknote **$5 Donation/Registration** DONATE HERE//www.gofundme.com/f/resilance-and-hope-climbing-kilimanjaro-with-ms?attribution_id=sl:389414e1-f4fc-443b-85b2-a5211a96d478&lang=en_US&ts=1786047900&utm_campaign=fp_sharesheet&utm_content=amp30-no-carousel&utm_medium=customer&utm_source=facebook
