Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as to the top finishers in various age groups. OCCONEECHEE STATE PARK ANNUAL TURKEY TROT
The 5K Race and one-mile kids fun run is conducted in scenic Occoneechee State Park which borders John Kerr Lake and the attractive lake front town of Clarksville Va... The 5K course consists of paved roads, rolling hills, and lake views as it winds through wooded areas of the park. All proceeds directly benefit Occoneechee State Park by providing funding for projects such as an ADA compliant fishing dock, 18-hole Disc Golf Course, and many other park events, enhancements, and environmental projects. The 5K event is sponsored by the Friends of Occoneechee State Park, a volunteer nonprofit organization.
