OCCONEECHEE STATE PARK ANNUAL TURKEY TROT
The 5K Race and one-mile kids fun run is conducted in scenic Occoneechee State Park which borders John Kerr Lake and the attractive lake front town of Clarksville VA... The 5K course consists of paved roads, rolling hills, and lake views as it winds through wooded areas of the park. All proceeds directly benefit Occoneechee State Park by providing funding for projects such as an ADA compliant fishing dock, 18-hole Disc Golf Course, and many other park events, enhancements, and environmental projects. The 5K event is sponsored by the Friends of Occoneechee State Park, a volunteer nonprofit organization.
WHEN: NOVEMBER 22, 2025 (RAIN OR SHINE)
* Registration ends on November 16, 2025
WHAT: 1 MILE KIDS FUN RUN/WALK 10 AM
* Who: Children 13 and under Parental assistance and strollers are welcome.
* All children that participate in the 1 mile Kids Fun Run will receive a medal.
WHAT: 5K FUN RUN/WALK 11 AM
* Who: All ages, walk, run, hop, skip or crawl
* (Well-mannered leashed pets & costumes welcome)
* This event will be officially timed and measured
Medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers of the 5K and top finisher in the following age groups.
