Join us for the Officer Christopher Reeves Scholarship 5K on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, in Millville, Cumberland! This uplifting event pays tribute to Officer Christopher Reeves, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty in 2012. Since 2014, the Millville Police Department has honored his legacy by raising funds for scholarships awarded to graduating seniors from Millville Senior High School, empowering them to pursue their educational dreams.
Participants can look forward to an exciting 5K race with awards for the top three male and female finishers, as well as age group prizes for participants aged 14 and under, 15-19, and 20-60+. Race day registration opens at 8:00 AM, with a guaranteed commemorative t-shirt for those who register by April 15. Walkers are welcome too, with a special route that concludes at Officer Reeves' gravesite, where shuttle service will be provided back to the start line. Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, come out to support a great cause and celebrate the spirit of community and remembrance!

OFFICER REEVES WAS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY ON JULY 8TH 2012, LEAVING BEHIND HIS WIFE, SON, FAMILY, AND MANY FRIENDS. SINCE 2014 THE MILLVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS CHOSEN TO HONOR CHRIS (SUPERMAN) IN A SPECIAL WAY WITH A SCHOLARSHIP IN HIS NAME. THE FUNDS RAISED FROM THIS EVENT ARE AWARDED TO GRADUATING SENIORS FROM MILLVILLE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION. ADDITIONAL CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE OFFICER CHRISTOPHER REEVES SCHOLARSHIP FUND CAN BE MADE AT THE "DONATE" TAB.
