THE RIDE
One Helluva Ride is Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society's signature event. This event allows AABTS to advocate for cycling in not just our community but across Michigan. Proceeds from this event are used to fund philanthropic activities, which include donating thousands of dollars for things like helmets, out-reach, education, and other charitable causes each year.
Join us for a day of scenic bicycle touring over tree-lined roads and beautiful gravel trails. The routes wind through rural and recreation areas and vary enough to appeal to a broad range of cyclists. We welcome all categories of riders.
When / Where
The ride will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Pre-registered checkin starts at 6:30am. The ride leaves and returns to the Chelsea Fairgrounds (20501 W Old US Hwy 12, Chelsea, MI 48118). Take I-94 Exit 159 North.

Four paved road rides (19 -100 miles) and three gravel routes (22 68 miles) are offered. Routes will be marked, and maps via RidewithGPS available for download. All rides start and end at Chelsea Fairgrounds in Chelsea, Michigan. SAG support and bike mechanics will be available.

OPENS SOONAll routes have been configured to maximize the quality of the roads we ride on. The routes wind through rural and recreation areas on beautiful rolling terrain and vary enough to appeal to a broad range of cyclists. We welcome all categories of riders. Routes will be marked, and maps provided. All rides start and end at Chelsea Fairgrounds in Chelsea, Michigan. There will be lunch, entertainment, quality custom merchandise, friendly volunteers, and the traditional ice-cold watermelon. SAG support and bike mechanics will be available. 100 mile paved 64 mile paved 47 mile paved 46 and 68 mile gravel - explore tree lined roads and the area's glacial past on hard packed gravel roads. 35 mm tires and wider recommended. One Helluva Ride features great rest stops, ride support, and lunch at the end of the ride. OPENS SOONThis year we have two short rides; a 19 mile paved option and a 22 mile gravel option. These rides have special lower pricing. The The shorter rides are designed for families, and those new riders who want to stretch themselves. The routes are selected to minimize traffic or follow bike paths. Includes one "mini" rest stop and lunch at the end of the ride. Routes will be marked, and maps provided. All rides start and end at Chelsea Fairgrounds in Chelsea, Michigan. There will be lunch, entertainment, quality custom merchandise, friendly volunteers, and the traditional ice-cold watermelon. SAG support and bike mechanics will be available. PRICING Adults $40 before May1st $50 May 1st through May 31 $60 Jun 1st through July 6th 15 and under are Free (must be registered)
