The 5K race will wind along the scenic Shepaug River, featuring a gentle incline that promises a rewarding experience for participants of all levels.
The festivities kick off at 9:00 AM, with awards for the top three overall finishers and recognition for the top three in each age division, giving everyone a chance to shine and celebrate their achievements. Registration is open online until race day, with early pricing available for adults at $25, and just $10 for youth racers. Day-of registration starts at 7:30 AM. As part of our commitment to the environment, we encourage participants to bring their own water bottles for refills throughout the event. Are You Up for the Fifth Annual Steep Rocks 5K Challenge? Youre invited to Steep Rock Associations 2025 Rossiter Run 5K Race and Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, May 18th at 9:00am in Steep Rock Preserve!
The racecourse follows a scenic route along the Shepaug River with a gradual incline in the stunning Steep Rock Preserve, gifted by our founder, Ehrick Rossiter, in 1925.
Awards: The top 3 overall finishers will receive special awards.
Age Division Recognition: The top 3 finishers in each age group will earn recognition and well-deserved bragging rights!
Join us for the challenge and the chance to celebrate your achievement at the finish line!
Registration: Online registration is open until the race begins! Please note, early pricing ends Saturday, May 17 at 11:59PM. On site, day of race registration starts at 7:30am. Early registration fee for adults is $25 online and will increase to $35 on race day. Registration fee for Youth racers is $10. There is no registration fee to participate in the Fun Run/Walk. Please note, registration fees are non-refundable.
