Grab your pack and raise a glass the Ruck & Ros'e 5K is making its debut in Westminster for Mothers Day weekend! Join us on Saturday, May 9th, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Wakefield Valley Park (1000 Fenby Farm Rd, Westminster, MD 21157) for a one-of-a-kind fitness event that combines strength, fun, and a little ros'e flair.
WHAT IS RUCKING?
Rucking is simply walking or hiking with a weighted backpack (aka a ruck), rooted in military training. Its low-impact, high-reward, and perfect for all fitness levels. Whether youre brand new or a seasoned rucker, this 5K course will challenge you, energize you, and leave you feeling strong. Participants must have their ruck/pack weighed at the weigh-in station both before and after the race to confirm it meets the minimum required weight.
Required weights & packs:
MINIMUM REQUIRED WEIGHT
Female Participants: 10 lbs
Male Participants: 20 lbs
APPROVED GEAR
A ruck backpack
A weighted vest
A regular backpack with added weight
Weight Suggestions for beginner & experienced Rucker's:

Please make sure your weight is: secure and not shifting and your pack is safe, comfortable and properly fitting.
