Join us for the exhilarating Run for Freedom 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, October 25th, 2025, in Aiken, South Carolina! Hosted by The Bridge 2 Home, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping girls who have been victims of sex trafficking, a portion of the proceeds will also provide immediate assistance to victims of Hurricane Helene.
Participants can challenge themselves in the 5K race or join the 1-mile Fun Run designed especially for kids aged 9 and under. Whether you choose to run, walk, or roll, everyone is welcome, including strollers and friendly pets! The event kicks off at the Odell Weeks Activity Center, with a scenic course that winds through the beautiful neighborhoods of Aiken. With prizes for various age categories and team fundraising competitions, there are plenty of opportunities to celebrate community and camaraderie. The Bridge 2 Home is a non-profit in Aiken, SC that supports girls who have been victims of sex trafficking. IT WILL STILL HELP CHILDREN WHO ARE VICTIMS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING, BUT WE ALSO WANT TO HELP VICTIMS OF THE HURRICANE WITH YOUR HELP! Run, walk, or roll in our 3rd annual 5K race! A 1-mile fun run is also offered for the kids. Strollers, wheelchairs, and friendly pets are welcome, but please line up in the back at the starting line. No bicycles or skates.

PRIZES FOR 5K: Men and women each have the following age categories with prizes for 1st place and ribbons for 2nd and 3rd: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and up. 1st through 3rd overall winners for men and for women will receive surprise prizes donated by generous donors.
TEAM PRIZE: Create a fundraising team to group participants as well as anyone who just wants to donate. The team who brings in the most money (including race registration fees) gets a prize! Call/text # below for help creating a team.
1-MILE FUN RUN: FREE! For kids 9 and under who aren't ready for the 5K yet, encourage healthy habits early by running or fast walking this 1-mile course on the paved track around the park. Register online by 9/24 to receive a t-shirt as a participation prize. Plan on wearing the race t-shirt provided at check-in for safety reasons.
CELEBRATE, PLAY, AND LEARN: During the race, music and games are available for all participants and spectators to enjoy for free. Snacks and drinks will be available for CASH purchase and will benefit The Bridge 2 Home or sponsoring organizations. Plenty of water provided for free.
REGISTRATION FOR 5K: Early-birds are guaranteed a t-shirt! Now through 9/24, register for $35. Cost goes up to $40 on 9/25. Late registration is 9/25 through race day. Water station will be at 1.5 mile mark.
Race directors and the Department of Public Safety will be stationed throughout the race and at intersections, so even young runners can safely stay on course.
