Get ready for an exhilarating day of athleticism and community spirit at the RVA Sprint Triathlon on Sunday, August 23, 2026, in the picturesque town of Rockville, Hanover. This vibrant event is Richmond's only pool sprint triathlon and promises a fantastic experience for athletes of all levels. Participants can choose from a classic sprint triathlon featuring a short pool swim, a rolling bike course through scenic rural landscapes, and a fun out-and-back run. Families can get involved too with the Kids Splash & Dash (swim-run) and a new beginner-only race designed specifically for first-time triathletes.

For those who prefer alternative formats, the RVA Sprint also offers duathlon (run-bike-run) and aquabike (swim-bike) options. An exciting twist this year includes a seeded race start, where the top 12 women will kick off the race approximately 7 minutes before the top 12 men, setting the stage for an electrifying battle of the sexes! Every finisher will be celebrated with a medal, and awards will be presented to the top three male and female competitors in various categories.
