Get into the holiday spirit at Santas on the Square - 1 Mile Fun Walk, organized by MainStreet Rockville, happening on Saturday, December 7th in Rockville, Parke. Join us at 4 pm (registration opens at 3 pm) for a fun, untimed 1-mile walk around the town square to kick off Hometown Holidays. Help us set a record for the most Santas walking together! Kids can attend for free with a paying adult, and a percentage of the proceeds will benefit Parke County families in need during the holidays. Participants can enjoy costume contests, optional fitness activities, and the chance to win prizes. Remember to register and sign a waiver to join the fun. Santas on the Square - 1 Mile Fun Walk is happening on Saturday, December 7th at 4 pm (registration opens at 3 pm).
HOW MANY SANTAS CAN WE GATHER ON ROCKVILLE SQUARE? Be part of the fun!
This fun walk is an untimed, 1-mile activity event (four laps around the inside of the square) and the official opening ceremonies of MainStreet Rockville's Hometown Holidays. What better way to get everyone into the holiday spirit than to set a record of how many Santas we can get walking around the town square at once! Ho, ho, ho! You can simply stroll around the square or, as you stroll, you can participate in the fitness/wellness activities we'll have on the corner of each square (optional) for a chance to win fun prizes if you complete all the activities!
_Kids may attend for free_ WITH A PAYING ADULT. All participants, including children must have a waiver signed by a parent/legal guardian and be accompanied by that adult at all times during the event.
There is a $10 registration fee for adults - _A PERCENTAGE OF THE PROCEEDS WILL BENEFIT PARKE COUNTY FAMILIES IN NEED DURING THE HOLIDAYS._
* We will have costume prizes for the most traditional Santa, funniest Santa, most sparkly/fancy Santa and best family of Santas.
* There will be optional fitness/wellness activities at each corner of the square. Those who complete the activities will be entered into a chance to win fun prizes!
* The roads for this walk will not necessarily be fully closed. Participants are responsible for being away at all times and obeying all traffic laws and regulations. The course will be marked and there will be volunteers along the way to help steer participants.
* EACH PARTICIPANT NEEDS TO REGISTER AND SIGN A WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE.
* The walk will start and finish on the corner of High and Jefferson Streets on the square.
* This is a non-refundable event. If your plans change or unforeseen circumstances (including inclement weather) keep the event from happening, we thank you for your support of MainStreet Rockville and families in need this holiday season.
* Registration opens at 3 pm, the walk kicks off at 4 pm.
* No pets.
