Kick off the day with the first run starting at 9 a.m., followed by a delicious complimentary pancake breakfast from Chris Cakes and refreshing post-run beer for those 21 and over. Proceeds from the event will support the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship and Programs, helping to award over $20,000 annually to deserving students. Whether you're running in person or virtually, your participation will contribute to shaping the future of SIUE while celebrating the spirit of Cougar Nation. Join the SIUE Alumni Association for the ninth annual Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run as part of Celebrate Cougar Nation: SIUE Homecoming and Family Weekend. Named the Final Lap Race Management's Best Directed event in 2022, this year's run offers both in-person and virtual 10K, 5K and fun runs. Community members, students and alumni are encouraged to participate. Run proceeds will go to the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship and Programs. The SIUE Alumni Scholarship Fund proudly awards over $20,000 each year to incoming and current SIUE students. Your support will help our campus community define the future of SIUE and provide Alumni programming.
WANT TO JOIN US ON CAMPUS FOR THE IN-PERSON RUN?
* The in-person run will take place on Saturday, October 5 on the beautiful SIUE campus with start and finish location in the SIUE Stratton Quad.
* The first run will begin at 9 a.m
* All registered in-person runners will receive a complimentary pancake breakfast from Chris Cakes, post-run beer from Global Brew (runners 21 and over).
NEED TO RUN VIRTUALLY?
* The virtual run can be completed anytime and anywhere on October 5!
* Register for a virtual 10K, 5K or 1 mile and invite your friends to join!
* Run/walk the distance inside on your treadmill or outside on a course of your choosing anytime on October 5.
* Report your time using the special link that is emailed to you after you register.
* Send a run selfie to [email protected] to be featured in a post-event video montage.
