STEPS FOR SAFE WATER 5K IS A RUN TO SHOW SOLIDARITY WITH THOSE WHO STRUGGLE TO ACCESS SAFE WATER WORLDWIDE. ON AVERAGE, PEOPLE TRAVEL MORE THAN 3 MILES TO ACCESS WATER, AND USUALLY, IT STILL ISN'T SAFE TO DRINK. WOMEN AND CHILDREN ARE DISPROPORTIONATELY AFFECTED BY THE CHALLENGES THIS POSES, CREATING BARRIERS TO EDUCATION AND UPWARD MOBILITY.
