Join us for the 10th Annual Stomp Out Hunger 5K Run and 1-Mile Walk on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in the beautiful Kihei, Maui! This exciting event kicks off at 8:00 AM with the 5K run, followed by the 1-mile walk at 8:15 AM, both starting and finishing at Hale Kau Kau, located at 25 W Lipoa Street. Participants can look forward to a fun-filled day that includes a complete sit-down breakfast, exciting door prizes, and a lively Halloween costume contest!

The Stomp Out Hunger event not only promotes health and wellness but also supports a worthy cause, with all proceeds directly benefiting Hale Kau Kau's mission to provide hot meals to the homebound elderly and those in need. Whether you’re competing solo or forming a corporate team challenge, there’s something for everyone! Enjoy the scenic 5K course, which is mostly flat and fast, and even join virtually from wherever you are! Come together with the community and help make a difference while having a blast in the gorgeous surroundings of Maui!

ALOHA FRIENDS OF HALE KAU KAU,

* Hale Kau Kau continues to deliver over 100 meals to the homebound elderly and/or disabled each day and serves a hot meal each day to anyone who comes by the kitchen at dinner time, currently we are serving about 50-70 complete hot meals from the kitchen each evening; thus Hale Kau Kau prepares and delivers/serves over 150 meals every day of the year. . In order to continue to feed those who are hungry, we must rely on the generosity of our many supporters. Through our fundraisers, friends of Hale Kau Kau continue to donate and support our mission to feed the hungry with compassion and aloha.
* THIS YEAR WE ARE PLANNING TO HAVE OUR 10TH ANNUAL STOMP OUT HUNGER 5K & 1M WALK FUNDRAISER THE EVENT WILL BE ON SATURDAY OCTOBER 25TH . THERE WILL BE A TEAM EVENT FOR BUSINESSES TO SUPPORT THEIR TEAM, AGE GROUP AWARDS, A COMPLETE SIT DOWN BREAKFAST IN THE HALL, DOOR PRIZES AND A HALLOWEEN COSTUME CONTEST. WE ARE ALSO LOOKING FOR CORPORATE SPONSORS TO SUPPORT OUR EFFORTS TO PUT ON A QUALITY EVENT AS WELL AS RAISE THE NEEDED FUNDS FOR OUR MEAL PROGRAM.

Proceeds of race go to: Hale Kau Kau: Feeding the Hungry with Compassion & Aloha. Every day Hale Kau Kau delivers 100 hot meals to the home bound elderly, sick, and disabled and HKK serves 40-50 hot meals from the kitchen to all who come in need of a meal

    Registration open to all Youth, adults and wheelchair Fees: Early Bird Registration $30 until September 1stplus $20 for youth --under15 and Seniors over 65 From September 2nd to October 20th $40 and $25 for youth under 15 and Seniors over 65. From October 21st and on race day fee will be $50 to all no discounts Shirts to all pre registered and to all post registered as supply lasts. Packets can be picked up Friday evening from 5:00-7PM at the Hale Kau Kau hall on the Campus of ST. Theresa 25 Lipoa Street. Day of Race registration from 7am to 7:45am Call to arrange for special pick up time -8088750178 or email [email protected] All proceeds go to Hale Kau Kau --we feed the homebound elderly and disabled ,as well as anyone who comes to the kitchen every day of the year. We are a volunteer driven non-profit organization. Please consider making an additional donation - each meal we serve cost approximately $8 (includes food, utilities, packaging to serve or deliver the food, cooks salary) if you donate $40 that will provide 5 meals; if you donate $800 that will provide one day's meals for the homebound elderly. You can decide how many meals you would like to purchase. The fundraising program is called "FUND A MEAL" You can "fund a meal" at any time - during registration, at the race or after the race. At packet pickup and after the race is preferred. We cannot continue to feed the hungry on Maui without your support!

    Fee for Walk is $30 small children under 5 are free with an adult. Walk is timed and there are awards to the top 3 walkers. Children are welcomed to run the mile, special prize for all children who compete in the event. Adults can also run the mile instead of walking. All proceeds go to Hale Kau Kau - we feed the hungry on Maui. We prepare and deliver hot nutritious food to the homebound elderly and disabled and we serve the same hot nutritious meal to those who come to the kitchen including the poor and the homeless. We are a volunteer driven non-profit organization. Please consider making an additional donation - each meal we serve cost approximately $8. (includes food, utilities, packaging to serve or deliver the food, cooks salary) if you donate $40 that will provide 5 meals; if you donate $800 that will provide one day's meals for the homebound elderly. You can decide how many meals you would like to purchase.
