This event is a vital part of National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, where every step taken contributes to the fight against child sexual abuse and supports healing for survivors.
The event kicks off at Project HELP Inc. located at 3050 Horseshoe Dr N, Building B, Suite 280, Naples, FL 34104, with registration starting at 9:30 AM and the walk commencing at 10:30 AM. Participants will also receive an UBER code to ensure a hassle-free return after the walk. Join the Laurens Kids foundation and thousands of walkers across the state for the 2026 Walk in My Shoes 1,500-mile trek across Florida. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month and National Child Abuse Prevention Month every step counts in the fight to prevent child sexual abuse and help survivors heal.

An UBER code will be provided to walkers to cover the cost of a ride back from the walk.

We'll start registration at Project HELP Inc. at 9:30 AM on Tuesday April 7th, and begin to walk at 10:30 AM. Our first walk section is 4 miles, and we'll take a short water break at the Children's Advocacy Center (5405 Park Central Ct Naples, FL 34109). Those who wish to finish the walk will continue walking to Publix Super Market at Naples Walk (2450 Vanderbilt Beach Rd Naples, FL 34109) - another 2 miles - where we'll have our final celebration! All participants will receive a t-shirt and drawstring backpack at registration. Like in years past, we are partnering with Uber to provide the ability for walkers to drop at any point they wish and ride share their way off of the walk route. Free ride share codes will be provided to walkers at registration. Please make sure to have the Uber app downloaded to your phone prior to your arrival.
