Over the past eight years, 900 people from 34 states and 3 countries have laced up with us to shine a light on child sexual abuse and exploitation, and were just getting started!

Hosted by The Starr Institute (TSI), the ReDiscover YOUR Light 5K Run+Walk is more than a race, its a movement. Together, were putting #preventioninmotion while creating a safe, empowering space for youth, families, and the community.

Whether youre a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just looking for a great way to give back and have fun, you belong here. This is a family-friendly event where everyone is welcome to move at their own pace and show their support.

OUR 5K RUN+WALK INCLUDES TWO WAYS TO PARTICIPATE:

VIRTUAL RACE WEEK - OCTOBER 26 NOVEMBER 1, 2025 - Complete your 3.1 miles from anywhere, your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill! Run or walk solo or with a crew. Just choose your route and do your 5K, your way. We will send you a virtual race bib and T-Shirt so you can get into the spirit of the event from where you are.

IN-PERSON EVENT | SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 2025 - Join us bright and early at Miramar Regional Park for our community celebration of hope and healing!

Registration opens at 6 AM | Race kickoff at 7 AM
First 65 in-person finishers receive a commemorative medal!
Register by September 30, 2025 to guarantee your race shirt.

OUR GOAL THIS YEAR? 200 IN PERSON PARTICPANTS, 100 VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS, ADD 1 NEW STATE AND 1 NEW COUNTRY. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN!
