OVER THE YEARS, ROAD RACES HAVE LEFT BRIDGEPORT, LEAVING LOCAL ATHLETES WITHOUT NEARBY COMPETITIVE OPPORTUNITIES. THE BRIDGEPORT MILE CHANGES THIS BY OFFERING HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS THE CHANCE TO RACE IN THEIR OWN COMMUNITY, HELPING THEM PREPARE FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON WHILE INSPIRING A LOVE OF RUNNING AMONG RESIDENTS OF ALL AGES. SINCE 2021, CT RUN CO HAS SUPPORTED BRIDGEPORT HIGH SCHOOLS' CROSS COUNTRY AND TRACK & FIELD PROGRAMS, RECOGNIZING THE LIFE-CHANGING IMPACT OF RUNNING.
