Get ready for an unforgettable day of fun and fitness at the CHASE THE SHADOW event on Sunday, May 11, 2025, in the vibrant city of Fort Wayne, Allen! This exciting free, untimed fun run/walk/roll is designed for participants of all fitness levels, making it the perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy the outdoors. With a limited registration of just 88 participants, you'll want to secure your spot early!
The challenge is simple: complete the 5K route before the shadow, which launches at 1:00 PM, while following a bicycle lead through the beautifully marked Fort Wayne Trails Network. Whether you don your best ninja suit or a cool black t-shirt, this is the one event where dressing in black is encouraged! Fun trophies will be awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the first boy and girl under 13. Join us for a day filled with laughter, camaraderie, and friendly competition as we celebrate health and community. Don't forget to share your adventure on social media while recording your activity! All ages and athletic abilities are welcome, so come out and CHASE THE SHADOW with us!

HOW DOES IS WORK?
THE RULES ARE PRETTY SIMPLE. JUST FINISH THE 5K ROUTE BEFORE THE SHADOW.
PARTICIPANTS WILL FOLLOW A BICYCLE LEAD ON A ROUTE THAT FOLLOWS THE FORT WAYNE TRAILS NETWORK.
THE ROUTE WILL BE CLEARLY AND MARKED, BUT WE WONT HAVE POLICE PRESENCE SO BE SURE TO FOLLOW TRAFFIC LAWS AT ROAD CROSSINGS!

Chase the Shadow will start and finish in West Swinney Park. Participants will follow a bicycle lead through the park and onto the sidewalks of Historic West Central Fort Wayne and back to West Swinney Park
