Join us for the 23rd annual Coach Cox's Kids Race by the Lake on Saturday, April 12, 2025, in The Colony, Denton! This exciting event invites young athletes ages 9 and under to compete in a thrilling half-mile race, while those ages 10-12 will take on a one-mile course. With races kicking off promptly at 8:00 AM, we encourage all participants to arrive by 7:30 AM to join in on the organized warm-up and ensure a smooth start.
Every child who participates will be honored with a ribbon and a goody bag, and the first 250 registered participants will also receive a race t-shirt! Be sure to pick up your race packet on Thursday, April 10, or Friday, April 11, at The Colony Recreation Center, or grab it on race day. Don't miss out on a delightful day filled with fun, fitness, and fellowship as we celebrate the spirit of competition and community!

Organiser's Description
The Colony Parks and Recreation Department and The Colony Roadrunners Club present the 23rd annual Coach Cox's Kids Race by the Lake. Children ages 9 and under will compete in a half mile race, while children ages 10-12 run a one mile course. All participants will receive a ribbon and goody bag. RACE T-SHIRTS ARE GUARANTEED TO THE FIRST 250 REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS.
The races will begin promptly at 8:00am. We recommend that ALL participants arrive at Stewart Creek Park no later than 7:30am. Vehicle access to the park will be closed at 7:45am. There will be an organized warm-up for all participants at 7:30am. Results will be calculated and
presented as soon as possible following the conclusion of the last race.
Packet pick up will be Thursday 4/10 and Friday 4/11 6:30am - 9pm at The Colony Recreation Center, 5151 N Colony Blvd The Colony. Any packets not picked up will be available on race day for pickup.
