Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a family looking for a fun day out, this event has something for everyone.
All 5K participants will receive a delightful Miller Plant Farm produce sampler, and there are prizes for overall winners in both male and female categories, as well as top age group winners. This fantastic event supports the Diane Miller Gift of Hope Fund, which has generously donated over $250,000 to the WellSpan York Cancer Patient Help Fund since its inception. By participating, you’ll not only challenge yourself physically but also contribute to a noble cause that helps cancer patients in need. IN EARLY 2019 THE DIANE MILLER GIFT OF HOPE FUND (GOHF) WAS ESTABLISHED. THIS FUND WAS CREATED IN HONOR OF THE PLANT FARMS OWN DIANE MILLER, WHO LOST HER BATTLE WITH PANCREATIC CANCER JUNE 16, 2018. DURING DIANE'S 40 MONTH BATTLE SHE MET MANY CANCER PATIENTS THAT HAD TO MAKE DIFFICULT DECISIONS BETWEEN TREATMENTS OR PAYING THE BILLS. HER HEART WENT OUT TO THEM AND SHE WANTED TO HELP. SHE LEARNED OF THE WELLSPAN YORK CANCER PATIENT HELP FUND THAT BENEFITS PATIENTS WITH FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS. WE ARE A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE SOLE PURPOSE IS TO KEEP DIANES PASSION ALIVE...TO GIVE HOPE.

THIS FUND IS A VOLUNTEER-DRIVEN, NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING CANCER PATIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES DURING HARDSHIPS CREATED BY A CANCER DIAGNOSIS. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the race course. Earphone use is discouraged. No cell phone use or texting while running/walking. Ambulance and medical technician support will be available at the start/finish line from 8AM-9:30AM. Due to the nature of this event, we encourage individuals to be at least 8 years of age to participate. Online registration available until 6:00 PM July 31. Paper registration forms will be accepted in-store until Saturday, August 3 at 7:30AM. Packet Pick-Up: Friday, August 2 from 9AM-6PM or race day from 6:30AM-7:30AM at the Garden Center at Miller Plant Farm. No registration after 7:30AM. Overall winners, both male and female, and top age group winners will receive a prize. All participants receive a Miller Plant Farm produce sampler. -
Kids Fun Run

The course uses the same start and finish line as the 5K. It begins on asphalt pavement and there is a short incline through our barns and equipment buildings. The course continues onto a dirt farm road and runners will pass crops and cut flower fields before the surface changes to crushed stone and heads downhill through our production greenhouses. The trail finishes across our access road to our retail garden center where it ends. Parents are not permitted to run with their child/children; we will have volunteers set up along the well marked course and children will never be alone. Ages 9 & under. (Runners may be separated into heats based upon age, and number of participants.)
