Come early! Sue~nos Coffee Co. will be onsite selling warm beverages and light pastries starting at 8AM. Also a great post-race treat!
This run/walk race is family-friendly, stroller-friendly and will be chip-timed. Strollers will start to the side of the corral, stay tuned to pre-race announcements for details. We love our dogs, but dogs are not allowed on the race course.

RACE DAY
Gun time will be promptly at 9AM.
In order to start on time, please be parked and in the starting corral with your bib pinned to the FRONT of your shirt by 8:50AM. There will be important event announcements starting at 8:50AM that everyone must be present for. Our street closures are time sensitive so we cannot start late. Bib numbers must be pinned on all four corners to the front of your _OUTER-MOST_ torso layer. This will ensure our traffic control, timing/scoring and security teams know who is a legitimate participant.
COVID-19 MITIGATION STRATEGIES
In the context of road races and mass gatherings, mitigation measures at contact points, including packet pick-up, start and finish lines, water points, restrooms, and all medical facilities are the most important in reducing the likelihood of a transmission event.
MITIGATION MEASURES/REQUIREMENTS AT THE HEART & SOLE 5K
1. Masks/face coverings must be used at any point where individuals cannot socially distance or are indoors.
2. We will NOT require any of our participants to use a mask on the racecourse.
3. Social distancing when outdoors, one meter (three feet), should be maintained between individuals even on the race course.
4. Registration/Bib Pick-up will be the first point of contact at the event. Masks must be worn while queuing and by all staff and volunteers.
5. Finish Line and post finish area: Please do not congregate. Maintain social distancing at all times. Masks must be worn when distancing is not possible or if you are unvaccinated.

For over three decades, Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) has served our community as the only health care organization in Central New Mexico dedicated exclusively to providing services to homeless people. AHCH provides critical services to over 7,000 men, women and children every year. By addressing the health-related causes of homelessness, AHCH makes it possible for people to find solutions to end their homelessness.

1st Place M&F Overall will each earn $100 cash award!
2nd Place M&F Overall will each earn a $60 gift card to Heart & Sole
3rd Place M&F Overall will each earn a $40 gift card to Heart & Sole
1st Place M&F Masters (40+) will each earn a $25 gift card to Heart & Sole
**We will _not_ be double dipping on any award category EXCEPT for Masters.
**1st Place M&F Masters finishers overall will still place in their age group category.
Prizes will also be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the following age groups:

Overall awards will be scored using gun time as the start time. Age group awards will be scored based on individual chip time.
Award ceremony will begin at 10AM, or after all categories have been filled. If you cannot be present for awards ceremony, you can collect your award at Heart & Sole Sports after Feb 22nd. No awards will be mailed out.
EVENT POLICY:
Please no roller blades, skates, bikes, dogs, pets or headphones allowed on the race course. Your race number must be worn on your front and must be visible. DO NOT exchange or give your race number to another participant.
Headphones are strongly discouraged and will disqualify you from an overall award category.
REFUND, DEFERRAL, TRANSFER, AND CANCELLATION POLICIES
REFUNDS
Race registration fees (and the processing charge from RunSignup) are not refundable. These funds are used to pay for race premiums, permits, supplies, staffing, and other costs incurred before, during, and after the event is held. To be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy.
DEFERRALS
We offer the option for registrants to defer their entry to the following year's event up to 12 days prior to the race (February 7, 2022). After this deadline passes we are unable to allow deferrals as race materials have been received and prepped for the event. Again, to be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrants may defer their entry by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.
TRANSFERS
We offer the option for registrants to transfer their entry to another eligible participant up to 12 days prior to the race (February 7, 2022). After this deadline passes we are unable to allow transfers as race materials have been received and prepped for the event. Again, to be consistent and fair to everyone we cannot make exceptions to this policy. Registrants may transfer their entry to another registrant by going into their profile on runsignup.com and choosing "Manage Registration" next to the race.
