Join us for the Zombie Run 5k, a run or walk to benefit the Jake Koenigsdorf Foundation (the JKF) - Reducing the barriers to recovery.
Run with us in person at THE GREAT SOUTH BAY BREWERY in Bay Shore on race day, or join us from anywhere in the world using our virtual option. We will also be having our 5-foot fun run!
_THE 5K IN-PERSON RACE IS MONDAY NIGHT 8/11 AT 7PM, 5 FOOT FUN RUN__ is __JUST BEFORE THE STARTING TIME. THIS FOLLOWS THE SUMMER RUN SERIES._
The Mission of JKF is to bridge the gap for those affected by Substance Use Disorder (Addiction) who are ready and willing to seek a solution. We are closing the gaps in the recovery road through education and connection while providing resources to those without access to them. Funds donated to JKF are used to support entry funding and transportation to recovery facilities that use a peer community model that teaches a solution and have a program duration of four months or longer.
People in active drug and alcohol addiction will do damage to their families, end up in an institution, in jail, die, or they work to build recovery.
We create opportunities for people to take their lives back.
