Join us for the 2nd Annual Run Like A Warrior Awareness Walk on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the beautiful Hood College in Frederick, MD! This exciting event, hosted in collaboration with Lyme Warrior, aims to raise awareness and support for those affected by Lyme disease. Participants will enjoy a unique Poker Fun Run, where the traditional walk/run experience is transformed into an engaging and interactive challenge. As you traverse the course, you'll stop at three stations to collect poker chips in various colors. At the end of the event, each color will be assigned a random value, and the participant with the highest total will win fabulous prizes!
Whether you choose to run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence will make a difference in the Lyme community. This is a fantastic opportunity to bond with friends, family, and fellow warriors while promoting a meaningful cause. Let’s come together to make Frederick green, bold, and unstoppable! LEAF is teaming up with Lyme Warrior again for this exciting event on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 10:00 AM 1:00 PM at Hood College in Frederick, MD!
Join us for a Poker Fun Run supporting Lyme Warrior, a patient-led nonprofit raising awareness and providing support for those affected by Lyme disease.
What is a Poker Fun Run?
A Poker Fun Run adds a fun, interactive twist to a traditional walk/run.
Participants stop at 3 stations along the course to collect poker chips
Each chip represents a color (for example: blue, green, red)
At the end of the event, a random value is assigned to each color (drawn from a hat)
Participants bring their chips to be counted
The highest total value wins prizes
Run, walk, or cheercome out and show your support for the Lyme community while enjoying a meaningful morning with friends, family, and fellow warriors!
