The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, with competitive racers taking the front of the start line and non-competitive participants following behind.
Registration is affordable, with adults participating for just $35 and children aged 1-18 for $20. Don't miss the chance to pick up your race bag on May 7 and 8 at the Owensboro Family YMCA, or on race day between 7:00 and 7:45 AM. Participants who register by April 26 will receive a T-shirt, and awards will be presented to the top male and female finishers, each earning $100 in cash, along with medals for the top three racers in each age group. OWENSBORO FAMILY YMCA IS PROUD TO HOST THE BBQ 5K ON MAY 9TH DOWNTOWN OWENSBORO.
This race is in conjunction with the 2026 BBQ & Barrels event and the community is
invited to run or walk with us; competitive racers will stage in the front of the start line at
8:00 am and non-competitive racers will be at the back of the start line.
