_AS WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA BEGINS TO RECOVER FROM HURRICANE HELENES DEVASTATION, OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH EVERYONE IMPACTED BY THE STORM. __The Pisgah 5k race that was planned for October 19, will not be held as planned. Its too soon to know when the event might take place in the future, but we will share updates as soon as we have them.

We are raising funds for an initiative that will set our students on a path to succeed by boosting their reading abilities during their crucial 2nd grade year. Having more help in the classroom, means more time for teachers to focus on student needs, ensuring better outcomes for all students. That's why were raising money to hire a part-time teaching assistant for a 2nd grade class at Pisgah. This additional educator will finally allow for effective small group reading lessons tailored to each student's level. Those struggling will get intensive support while on-level students keep progressing. The benefits extend beyond academics. Teacher burnout will decrease with an extra set of hands. And students will thrive with more personalized attention.
