Whether you're looking to run or walk, the 5K race is perfect for participants of all ages and skill levels. There’s also a special 1/2 mile Turkey Chase Race for kids, ensuring everyone can join in on the fun.
As a sweet reward for your efforts, all participants will receive a delicious slice of pumpkin pie at the finish line! This year, we’re excited to support the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Soquel High School Track Team, with hopes of donating over 12,000 meals to those in need in Santa Cruz County. Come join us on Thanksgiving morning for our 12th annual Thanksgiving Day race! Run For Pie has become one of Santa Cruz County's favorite holiday traditions. Bring the whole family (or your pet turkey) out to run or walk a 5K. Run for Pie also includes a 1/2 mile Turkey Chase Race for kids. All participants get a slice of pumpkin pie at the finish. This event will benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Soquel High School Track Team. With the high demand for this race every year, we have decided to cap registrations, so be sure to register your friends and family before our race sells out!
Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County reaches 55,000 people EVERY MONTH. We are proud to partner with this community organization to help provide meals to those in need in Santa Cruz County. When you register, you have the option to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank Santa Cruz County. Please consider donating just $1 which provides 3 meals for someone in need. If you would like to donate, there will be a link at registration.
KIDS 1/2 MILE: All proceeds from this race will go to Second Harvest Food Bank. We are hoping to donate over 12,000 meals this year!
PIE MILE RELAY
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE PIE MILE RELAY: The relay will consist of 4 individuals and each individual will need to register. When you are registering for this specific race, place your first name and next to your last name place your team name. This way we can keep track of full teams.

Why the random price? Due to the new California Price Transparency Act, we are required to show the price with processing fees added. The price that it is displaying is the $45 + processing fee. THE COURSE
Were excited to feature a route that tours Soquel High School's trails, track, and the neighboring Anna Jean Cummings Park .
AWARDS
All races will be professionally chip timed, and awards will be given to the overall male and female winner for the 5K race. The first female and male winner will receive an engraved Fork and a Gayles pie. We will also have awards for the Top Age Group winners 13-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70, 71-80, 81 - 90.

You can purchase a t-shirt during registration for $5.
RACE MORNING:
Were thrilled to partner with OS1st to make race morning even more exciting! Get ready for some fun activities, and stay tuned for more details.
For the little ones, The Art Factory will be there to host a kids' coloring station after the 1/2 mile race. And thats not allbe one of the first 400 participants to arrive and enjoy a FREE cup of coffee, courtesy of The Loft Coffee!

Join us for a 1 mile race on the track where participants will eat 1 piece of pie per lap (4 pieces of pie, 4 laps). If you're not up for the challenge on your own, grab 3 teammates and tackles the relay (4 people, 1 piece of pie and 1 lap each). When you register for the pie mile relay each person will need to register and request that you place your team name next to your last name. All proceeds from this race goes to Second Harvest Food Bank.
