TALK2ME IS A 501C3 WHOSE MISSION IS TO EMPOWER PEOPLE TO CONNECT, HEAL, AND THRIVE IN OUR SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES. WE PROVIDE EDUCATION, AN OPEN SHARING PLATFORM, AND AN ACTION AND ACCOUNTABILITY PLAN TO CONNECT INDIVIDUALS WITH SAFE HELP. WE OFFER COUNSELING GRANTS TO THOSE IN NEED. MANY WHO COME TO US ARE SUFFERING FROM ADDICTIONS AND MENTAL ILLNESS. WE ALSO PROVIDE GRANTS TO WOMEN AND YOUNG PEOPLE TO ADVANCE THEIR EDUCATION, CAREERS, AND FAITH DEVELOPMENT. This is a race to benefit Talk 2 Me - A Program of Hope Our Mission Statement: A Program of Hope Empowering People and Peers to Connect, Heal, and Thrive. We Promote mental health, physical health, and suicide prevention across our communities. We are relentlessly striving to bring a message of HOPE to all in our community who are especially suffering from the physical and mental toll of these stressful times. We are hosting our 5th 5K Run/Walk to raise awareness and funding for our education, accountability, and action plan program. We are committed to helping people thrive by giving them connectedness and concrete tools and solutions to use in times of difficulty. Our program will teach about underlying illness. It will include personal testimonies of those who are thriving after addressing their difficulties. We will introduce an accountability system for other students where community service hours can be earned. We will provide cards for students to list safe people to call in need. These will be kept with them at all times, as well as Crisis line numbers and crisis text numbers. Ultimately, people will take personal responsibility for their safety and commit to it. Peers will learn to reach out to other students and simply share their feelings. Our goal is for everyone to be energized by our accountability and action plan to thrive fully. Come out and enjoy this lovely course on what we hope will be a beautiful day. Thank you for being so supportive. -

This run is for kids who want to run a shorter distance than 5K. It will be held following the 5K completion. Starting at the start line to Mission Rd and back up to the finish line. This group will get a special shirt, ribbon, treats etc. :)
