Michiana's Thanksgiving Tradition is a community event to be shared with loved ones - family & friends - Turkey Stampede! Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time to spend together - a time of gratitude for all we have!
WATCH ARRIVE BY 7:30AM ON RACE DAY
ALL PARTICIPANTS LINE UP IN THEIR CORRAL ON JACKSON ACCORDING TO THEIR START TIMES:
* 8:30am - 10K run
* 8:35am - 5K run
* 8:40am - 5K walk
* 8:45am 1-Mile walk
***Pricing includes timed race entry fee for 10K and 5K, (Mile walk is untimed), finisher medals for all who want them, and post race refreshments.
***Custom shirts are optional, and an additional $15.
ATTN GROUPS: We LOVE groups! If you have a group of people (3 or more) you can register everyone all at once. Create a group name. One person can pick up the entire package of bibs/shirts/ etc. Register by Tuesday, November 18, 2025 so that we have time to put the group bundles together. NOTE: You must give your group a name in order for our system to pull your people together. Our system doesn't recognize you as a group if you just sign up multiple people.

THERE IS NO OFFICIAL AWARDS CEREMONY, we know people want to leave and get back to their holiday asap. Everyone will get a finisher medal. We do offer the coveted turkey awards for the top three overall men and women that finish the 5K and 10K. Come to the wagon up by the timing trailer by the start finish line, and we will take care of you!
RESULTS will be on the Monster Message Jumbotron and posted immediately online at Runsignup.com, EpicRaceTiming.com and later on Stone Soup Promotions. We are continuing the tradition of the coveted gravy boat awards to the top 3 MF in both the 5K and 10K in addition to gift cards and free entries into 2025 race. Additionally, we offer $25 cash to the first male and female to Catch the Turkey! (Not a real turkey, we have a human dressed up as a turkey--honor system here.)
PARKING (interactive parking map [http://map.turkeystampede.com/]) lots are in adjacent spaces around Beacon Health & Aquatics. Lots include Hacienda, Martins, NIBCO water and ice park, Brass Elk, INOVA Federal Credit Union, downtown public lots, Fifth Third Bank, and 30+ small businesses close to the race start.

The 10K is a LOOP course which goes through the historic Strong Avenue neighborhood, around McNaughton Park, and back through downtown Elkhart! A loop course for this event that goes down Main Street, around the beautiful historic Strong Avenue neighborhood, and then back to the Aquatics Center. Remember, this is a chip start, so you time doesn't start until you cross the timing mat. Be sure to park and make time to be in your starting corral by 8:10am. Walkers travel down Jackson to Main Street and then take a 3/4 of a lap around Island Park exiting into American Park. A lovely loop course that will wind you around and bring you back under the finisher arch where you will collect your finisher medal. This is an accessible course. Be sure to park and make time to be in your starting corral by 8:10am.
