Event summary
Participants can look forward to a festive atmosphere, complete with a delicious BBQ lunch and a free swim at Camp Robbins following the race. Registration is just $54 per child, but be sure to sign up before August 5, 2026, as spots are limited! As a reminder, each family is encouraged to carpool due to limited parking, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. Join us in celebrating every child who "Gives it a Tri!" and make memories that will last a lifetime!

Its as easy as 1, 2, Tri! The Kids Triathlon is our newest, most heartwarming addition to the YMCA Race Series, giving young athletes a fun and supportive way to swim, bike, and run their way to the finish. Families can enjoy a BBQ lunch, and free swim at Camp Robbins as they celebrate every child who Gives it a Tri!
DUE TO LIMITED PARKING CAPACITY, WE KINDLY ASK THAT EACH FAMILY BRING NO MORE THAN ONE VEHICLE. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY AND CARPOOL WHENEVER POSSIBLE.
Wave Structure for Event:
Total Participants: 60 Kids Maximum
Wave allocation: 2-3 waves per age group
Participants per wave: 5 per wave
Total possible waves: 13-15 waves
Distances for each event:
4-5: Swim: 25 yards, Bike: ~1.1 miles, Run: ~0.5 mile
6-7: Swim: 50 yards, Bike: ~1.1 miles, Run: ~ 0.5 mile
8-9: Swim: 75 yards, Bike: ~2 miles, Run: ~0.75 mile
10-11: Swim: 100 yards, Bike: ~2.8 miles, Run: ~1 mile
12-13: Swim: 100 yards, Bike: ~3.6 miles, Run: ~1 mile
14 Swim: 200 yards, Bike: ~5 miles, Run: ~1.5 miles
Please note: BIKES ARE NOT PROVIDED BY THE YMCA OR CAMP ROBBINS. BIKES MUST BE SUITABLE FOR ROUGH/UNEVEN TERRAIN (MOUNTAIN BIKES ARE STRONGLY RECOMMENDED)
After the race, a free swim event is available for all kids until 6:00 PM!
